Breeders of 23 Champions to date, including 3 Grand Champions.
Aceweis Kennels was founded in 1987 by Jill Townley. Cathy Trinka joined the kennel as co-owner in 1992 followed by Linda Jarvis. As a team we gained a very high level of success. Unfortunately Jill passed away suddenly in 2003 however Aceweis Kennel's continues to remain highly successful under the co-ownership of Cathy and Linda.
Initially Aceweis just bred the Weimaraner but in 1995 after Jill fell in love with the Hungarian Vizsla, this breed was also added to the kennel. Our aim was to only add the Vizsla's to our kennel if we could successfully breed to the same high standards we had with the Weimaraners. This was acheived within a few years of our first Bitch joining us.
Our kennel is synonymous with many top Royal show winners including our first infamous Weimaraner Australian Grand Champion Aceweis Lazer Beam the winner of Best in Show at the Adelaide Royal (1996). We have also bred the Best Gundog Exhibit and Best Puppy in Show at the Melbourne Royal with our Hungarian Vizsla, Australian Champion Aceweis Carribean Gold. Another of our well-kown Weimaraners being campained today is Australian Grand Champion Aceweis Soul Sensation, another of our home bred All Breeds Best In Show Winners who was not only graded Excellent at the 2005 Australian Weimaraner National but took out Dog CC and Runner-Up Best of Breed.
Our kennel has obtained other numerous wins including Best Gundog Exhibit at the Sydney Royal Show and Specialty wins in 4 states of Australia in both breeds with 6 seperate dogs. Aceweis is a small kennel breeding for beauty, function and type. We are dedicated to breeding both the Weimaraner and Hungarian Vizsla.
Cathy is a licenced Group 3 (Gundog) judge and Linda is currently training for her Group 3 (Gundog) licence. We are members of the Weimaraner Club of South Australia (Cathy is a life member ) and the Gundog Club of South Australia.
Our kennel continues to achieve a high standard which is our Legacy. Dedicating all we do to Jill and and her visions.
We are anticipating having 2 litters this year, 1 from our Weimaraner bitch Reva due late August or early September and 1 from our Vizsla bitch Pearl due later in the year. Enquiries most welcome.
